Cheyenne Wedding Photography at the Hereford Ranch and Little America | Lizzy + Derek
You’ve probably heard me say it before and I’ll say it again, I’m a details junky. If I could photograph wedding details eight hours straight, I’d probably be in my glory. When planning a wedding, couples spend hours stressing over which color palette their wedding will be, what type of flowers, which cake flavor, which centerpiece will work best. It’s all about creating a perfect atmosphere for their guests. Then on their wedding day, time flies by and they don’t even get to see half of these things. So as a photographer, I feel that capturing the details is one of the most important parts. It just happens to also be one that I really enjoy.
This also happens to be why I love second shooting. While the lead photographer is off with the bride and groom, I get to capture details. Now, don’t get me wrong, I love photographing the people too. That is just one more thing I love about being a wedding photographer. You can love both!
Anyways, on this particular day, I was second shooting at Lizzy and Derek’s Cheyenne, Wyoming wedding for Lori of Lori Kennedy Photography. I’ve seconded with Lori a bunch of times and by this point, we kind of have a routine. I hang out with the guys while she photographs the girls and then I cover details, while she photographs the couple.
Lizzy and Derek’s wedding ceremony was at the Hereford Ranch in Cheyenne, Wyoming and their reception was at Little America which also happens to be the only place you can pick up at 50 cent ice cream cone that I know of.
Here are a few of my favorites!
And my favorite part! The Hot Cocoa Bar! What an amazing idea for a wedding dessert!
