So you’re getting married and while you’re really looking forward to your wedding day, you can’t wait for your honeymoon. But where should you go?
If you’re anything like me, you’ll want a honeymoon destination that allows you to travel, explore and do the things you love to do.
Well, here are five rock climbing honeymoon destinations that won’t disappoint:
Type of climbing: Sport, Trad, Deep Water Soloing
Catalonia – One of the most popular places to climb in Spain, it’s known for it’s sport climbing but contains enough trad and adventure climbing to keep you busy.
Mallorca – The largest of the Balearic Islands, this mountainous limestone are is home to amazing sport routes and beautiful deep water soloing.
Rest day activities: Good food (can you say free tapas?), good wine, good coffee, national parks, beaches, a number of old cities to explore

Bayamon – Limestone sport climbing in the jungles of Puerto Rico. This area tends to be a little bit cooler than other climbing areas.
Ciales – Excellent Limestone sport climbing that sits on top of a mountain.
Rosaria – A mix of slab, face and overhang climbing on Marmolite. This location has both single and multipitch sport and trad climbing.
Rest day activities: hiking, surfing, snorkeling, rum tasting, beautiful white beaches, Caribbean food, caving, you can explore Spanish forts, Bioluminescent bays

The Mine – Hard, pumpy routes located just outside of Cape Town.
Rocklands – One of the most popular sport climbing and bouldering areas in South Africa, it contains rough, sandstone boulders in a desert like setting.
Rest day activities: Shark Cage Diving, delicious food, go see penguins, check out the Cape Winelands, Hiking at the national parks, check out Camp’s Bay Beach
Time of Year: September-November and March-May
Red Rocks, Nevada
Type of climbing: Sport, Trad, BoulderingR
Black Velvet Canyon – Black, varnished sandstone with walls over 2,000 feet high. This area is known for it’s stunning multipitch sport and trad routes.
The Kraft Boulders – Hundreds of boulder problems from V0-V10, this area is home to some of the finest boulder problems that Red Rocks has to offer.
Rest day activities: Vegas is a 20 minute drive, beautiful hiking, short drive to Death Valley National Park
Time of Year: October-April
Type of climbing: Sport
Railey and Tonsai Beaches – Single and multipitch limestone climbing surrounded by the Andaman sea and jungle
Koh Phi-Phi – This beautiful single and multipitch sport location is known for being the birth place of climbing in Thailand
Rest day activities: Kayaking, fishing, snorkeling, beaches, yummy food
