One of my 101 Goals in 1001 days was to photograph an out of state destination wedding. Part of my goal of being a wedding photographer is to expand my Colorado wedding photography business into a destination wedding photography business. There are very few things I love more than traveling, so being able to do it while working is top on the list!
Well, in July of 2015, I traveled across the US with Christian, Savannah and my wedding gear to photograph Felix and Erica’s destination wedding in Fayetteville, West Virginia. Okay, so West Virginia isn’t the first place that comes to mind when you think of a destination wedding, but trust me, the New River Gorge and surrounding areas are spectacular.
Not only is this area home to some of the best rock climbing and rafting in the United States, it’s also one of the prettiest sightseeing areas in the region.
The wedding turned out amazing, with their closest friends and family celebrating their new adventure by playing games, drinking copious amounts of alcohol and rock climbing. This was a perfect wedding and a great one to get to tick of my list with!
