Who spends the morning of their engagement session working out? Stephanie and Cassell. My kind of couple. The couple that prioritizes being healthy and makes time for a work out. A couple like me and Christian, we’ve been there and done that.
I’m a health nut (I say, as I finish eating goat cheese for breakfast). But really, I am. I work out all the time and when it comes down to working out or doing something else, I usually work out. Not because I think I’m out of shape or the world will crumble if I don’t, but because I enjoy it. My work outs consist of things that I love like hiking, climbing and lifting weights. I don’t feel like I’m working so much as playing, and without my play, my head might explode.
But anyways, enough about me, let’s talk about Stephanie and Cassell.
Stephanie and Cassell are a fun couple. Minutes after their session begin they were cracking jokes and we were all laughing. This is one of the things I love most about engagement sessions. Actually getting to know my couples when they’re not stressed on (such as on their wedding day).
They were pretty awesome, considering it was below freezing and there was snow on the ground. But we all sucked it up and got some amazing shots.
Stephanie and Cassell elected to have their session at the Lionsgate Event Center in Lafayette, Colorado. They are having their wedding at the Lionsgate Dove House in June of next year, so it seemed like a perfect way to get to know their wedding venue. I couldn’t agree more. We set out for a 3 pm shoot, which gave us a variety of lighting scenarios ranging from cloudy to sun kissed. Yea, I was in love.
