Janelle and Nick love the snow and the mountains, so when I suggested they have a St. Mary’s Glacier Engagement Session, they were pretty excited about it. I warned them about the 3/4 mile uphill hike at 10,000 but that didn’t bother them one bit. They were game.
One of the things I love most about St. Mary’s is the fact that there is always snow up there. This year there was a lot less than I’d seen in previous summers and it was more of an ice field than a snow field, but still, there was snow. There were also purple wild flowers which made for a unique contrast.
The three of us hiked around the lake, up to a small waterfall just below the snow field and through the marshy areas, and Janelle and Nick climbed on tree trunks and rocks without hesitation. Janelle even did it in heels. Yea, she’s awesome. Crazy awesome, but still awesome.
Here are some of my favorite photos from their St. Mary’s Glacier Engagement Session!
