Wedding Picture Wall Collages: What to do with your wedding photos! Goal #69
As a wedding photographer, I urge my clients to do something with their digital images. So often, couples will receive their USB drive and then drop it into their desk drawer with hopes of one day printing them out and displaying them for the whole world to see. Please, please don’t wait.
I can’t tell you how many couples, or for that matter photographers, I’ve chatted with who have been married for over ten years and do not have one single wedding image displayed in their house. And a wedding album? Yeah right.
So then you may find yourself asking what to do with your wedding photos. Well, here’s what I did.
In order to not become one of those statistics I ordered myself a wedding album as soon as I received our photos. Like, I designed it and ordered it within the week. Now, it’s been about 7 1/2 months since our wedding, but I finally printed out a few of our wedding images and made a wedding picture wall collage.
I was actually inspired by another photographer who has something similar on their wall (Thanks, Jennie!), and then I stalked Pinterest until I found something I liked. I picked up the shelves at Ikea and found some cheap frames at Target. Then Christian and I poured ourselves a glass of wine and got to work.
We included some of our favorite personal images as well as a cute lion stuffed animal that has absolutely no sentimental value, our wedding album (we’re not really coffee table people), a You Make Me Buzz Like A Bee sign that I made Christian years ago and a cute scent diffuser. It kind of makes us look civilized to the outside world. 🙂
And as a plus, completing five Pinterest projects is part of my 101 Goals list (#69), so that’s pretty awesome too.
